In the early 1990s, producer Jeff Most believed so much in the quality and marketability of James O’Barr’s comic that he committed to producing The Crow for the screen. A television series and three feature length sequels later, Jeff Most has remained loyal to the Crow’s cause. Most served as producer for The Crow, The Crow: City of Angels (written by #5 David S. Goyer), The Crow: Salvation, and The Crow: Wicked Prayer (for which he also co-wrote the screenplay), as well as executive producer for certain episodes of the television series “The Crow: Stairway to Heaven.” He also oversaw the music production on all four Crow movies. Most has persevered through these films with the help of a strong cult following through 2005, despite increasingly poor critical reviews following the first Crow film and the tragic death of star Brandon Lee during the filming of The Crow. In a July 6, 2005 interview with joblo.com, Most announced that he would be producing a film adaptation of Everette Hartsoe’s Razor comic book series.
